Nothing captures the essence of the gorge better than the historical Eagle Creek Trail, with several large waterfalls, many small falls, a great variety of wildflowers, and a wilderness area to explore.

HIKE SUMAMRY: Extremely popular (often crowded), international acclaim, includes iconic Punchbowl Falls at 1.5 miles, and beautiful canyon hike with Tunnel falls at the 6-mile point. DIFFICULTY: Easy 1.5 miles to moderate 6 miles one-way. JURISDICTION: USDA - Forest Service - National Forests (www.fs.fed.us) FEE: Obtain a NW Forest Pass to park near trail head. You can purchase a single day pass for $5, or an annual pass for $30, on line: www.fs.usda.gov/main/crgnsa/passes-permits/recreation. FROM THE ALOHACIENDA: About 30 minute drive. I-84 Westbound Exit #41; if you are Eastbound, take exit #40 and turn back.

One of the more popular hikes which includes Punchbowl Falls and Tunnel Falls. Also some great views of the Columbia Gorge.

A spectacular hike in the Columbia Gorge that will take you past many waterfalls and into the 'rain forest' that Lewis and Clark described.
