Perhaps the most famous street in Norway, leading all the way from the Royal Castle down to the Central Station.
The main street in Oslo. Also a good place to do some shopping as you will find almost every brand store on your way.
Maybe the most well known street in Oslo. The tourists love this street, and it has both shopping opportunies and restaurants.

“What is it? The royal residence at the top of Karl Johans gate, home to HM King Harald V and HM Queen Sonja. The Royal Palace Park surrounds the palace on all sides and features grassy areas, majestic trees, small ponds and statues. Why go? Although the palace is open to the public only during 22 June until 25 August and all visitors must follow a guided tour, the impressive building at the end of Karl Johans street is worth a look. The grounds and gardens are free for visitors to wander around and for the regular changing of the guard every day at 1.30 pm.”

“Part of the Sentrum area, Aker Brygge is known for its pier, where eateries with outdoor tables serve upscale Nordic and French cuisine, or casual fare like burgers and steak. A popular summer boat bar is moored nearby, and ferries depart year-round for the scenic Oslo Fjord. Local cultural draws include the Nobel Peace Center, with exhibits on the famous prize, and the striking Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art. Also a good place for some shopping.”
