You can't visit Porto without visit Bolhão. This market is where farmers and people from here came to sell their fruit and vegetables. Unfortunately it's closed for renovations. But you can visit the temporary one at La Vie.

2019: the building is currently going under massive refurbishment which I cannot wait to see the result as a Porto inhabitant but also as an Architect. “This owes its planning to the visionary spirit of the Almadas whose restoration work brought a new brightness to the city of Porto in the second half of the 18th Century. The road was extended as far as Alameda da Aguardente, today's Praça Marquês de Pombal. Its imposing façades house some fine examples of the Art Nouveau style. Over 1500 metres long, the Rua de Santa Catarina, part of which has been pedestrianised, is the busiest shopping street in the city centre with clothing stores, haberdashery, shoe shops, the Via Catarina shopping mall and countless street vendors, less or more legal and carts selling handicrafts and jewelry.”

“This library is probably one of the most beautiful places to visit in Porto. By other hand there is always a big queue to get in even if you bought your ticket in advance. If is it worth? If you are staying in Porto more than 2 days, my answer is yes, if not, my answer is no. Additionaly, you have to pay 5€ to get in but if you buy a book you can use that value as a 5€ voucher. Also, don't take serious when you read in the internet that this library is related with Harry Potter because is not!!! Anyway, it is a big mark in Porto for sure. I love it.”

“Enjoy the best sunset at Virtudes or at the gardens of Palácio de Cristal (both have beautiful views to the river and the sunset).”

“The Tower, Museum and Church Clérigos are a must-see in the city. After climbing 225 steps to reach the top of the tower, you will be astonished by the view of the city (a 360° perspective).”
