Located in the South Mountain Preserve, Dobbins Lookout has one of the best view points in Phoenix. You could see Mesa, Scottsdale, Phoenix and surrounding neighborhoods. Not in the mood to hike? You could drive all the way to the summit. And the sunset at South Mountain is not to be missed.

This scenic observation point offers the best views of the Phoenix area. It is the highest point you can drive to, with an elevation of over 2,000 feet. It is located in South Mountain Park and Preserve, which is one of the largest municipal parks in the country. The Dobbins Lookout is located at 10919 S. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042. There is no cost to see it and you have the option to drive to the top of the mountain or hike up. If you do drive, there is a short, uneven walk to get to the Lookout. The park is open from 5am to 7pm.

A little bit of a long drive, but incredible views of the entire valley and worth it. One of the only mountains in the area you can drive to the very top of.
