If you drive North up Power road, there are many stops you can check out the salt river, and maybe see some wild horses there. Some of the stops require you to purchase a Tonto Pass to park there. They can be picked up at many gas stations before you head out.
Make sure you get a Tonto Pass (you can buy these on site or most gas stations) Phon D Sutton Pebble Beach
Beautiful river about 35 minutes away! Many people ride the salt river tubing down the river. You may be able to catch a some wild horses drinking along side the bank area!
