“This 21-story Beaux Arts edifice once dominated midtown. Although it’s now dwarfed by other structures, when it debuted in 1902, the triangle-shaped monolith represented the threat and the thrill of modernity: Naysayers claimed it would never withstand the high winds plaguing 23rd Street, while revered photographer Alfred Stieglitz—who captured it in an iconic shot in 1903—wrote that it was “a picture of a new America still in the making.””

“Eataly NYC Flatiron is a vibrant Italian marketplace that features an array of cafes, counters, restaurants, and a cooking school. Eat, shop, and learn. Remember to check out the rooftop, it's sorta hidden so ask if you need help finding!”

“This is NYers meeting point, where Broadway meets 14th Street. They have a great farmers market a couple of days a week. And a wonderful hidden playground for the little ones. There’s shopping all around, including the commercial fifth avenue shops like Anthropologie, GAP, H&M, Banana Republic, etc.; the magical ABC Carpet & Home, Paragon Sports, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Barnes & Nobles, and Babies R Us. Cinemas and the must-go Strand bookstore are in 13th street. Short walk to NYU’s iconic Washington Square Park. Great Christmas outdoors market for the holidays. To eat around here we recommend Taralucci e Vino on 18th street. ”
