They call it "Japanese soul food". Food as you'd see it in a contemporary Japanese home, prepared with the finest, freshest ingredients. Not a sushi joint (although they serve that too). We've brought 100 people here over 17 years and every single time it's a hit.

Japanese Soul Food for cheap! Also sushi and other good stuff. The decor of the restaurant is amazing! It's small and in strip mall off Ventura and there are frequent celebrity sightings there.

I love this place! It's authentic Japanese comfort food. It is not a sushi restaurant, although they have a couple of sushi items on the menu. This is a first come, first serve restaurant, so you may have to wait for seating. If you go on the early side you usually don't have to wait. They serve until 9 pm and are closed on Sundays.
