Whitsundays Great Walk

It is my favourite walk, away from the hustle and bustle of Airlie Beach. A 20 minute drive into the rainforest and it’s so peaceful and a great walking exercise. The birds singing in the mornings is awesome.

You can start this walk in town at the top of Kara crescent. Walk to Honeyeater Trail round trip of 9 kms. Look out over the Whitsundays through the tropical rain forest. Do the whole walk which would take a day. Well worth it , pack a picnic, enjoy the outdoors for free.

If you have a car, it's well worth driving out to Conway National Park at Brandy Creek. There are several great rainforest walks - from 1 hour circuits to 2/3 day hikes. Take your pick! Check the national parks website for details.
