Hulne Park was once the hunting ground for the Percy family and is still owned by them today. There are a number of well signed walking trails that include the Abby, Priory, the River Aln and a Red Deer if you are lucky. Open daily 11am-6pm. No dogs or cyclists sadly.

Great park for a family walk or any enthusiastic runners. There are many different trails that take you through woods, fields, farms and along the river. For me i love to run here, through some of the wood trails it's just me the Deer's and of course the Pheasant's.

Hulne Park in Alnwick- because of the wildlife at certain times of the year you have to stay on the road and not to go into the woodland tracks. Even doing this we have spotted squirrels and deer have ran over the road in front of us and on a couple of occasions there have been herds of deer in the fields further in the park. When the restrictions aren’t in place take your first right down the track, there are lovely walks on pathways through the woods. NO DOGS ALLOWED!!

Miles of walking in the Dukes estates... amazing views from the top of Brizlee Hill over the Northumbrian countryside. Head into Alnwick onto Ratten Row (near Bailiff Gate) and follow the road. Go through the entry gates/tower and select one of the 3 circular walks of 4 to 6 miles. We've walked the 4 miler with children no problem. Enormous Hulne Park designed by Capability Brown with stunning views especially around the folly Brizlee Tower. Look closely you might even see some red squirels !
