Near El El Frijoles. A great hike with nearby Walker Pond for fresh water swimming.

One of the most beautiful views of Penobscot Bay. From the turn out on Caterpillar Hill you can basically see the entire Bay.

The 134-acre Cooper Farm property lies on the sloping fields of Caterpillar Hill. The trail winds across blueberry fields offering stunning ocean/lake views, through forests rich in moss. A short and gratifying walk to be done again and again. Follow Route 15/175 until there is an unpaved road on the left called Cooper Farm Road. A small parking lot is located on the unpaved Cooper Farm Road. This is also the road that has public access to Walker Pond. If you’ve passed the Caterpillar Hill Scenic Turnout, you’ve gone too far.

The view from Rt. 15 in Sedgwick is prized by both residents and visitors. A scenic turnout maintained by the Department of Transportation provides a safe place for visitors to pull off the road. The view overlooks the open fields and forest owned by the Trust and, Eggemoggin Reach, the islands of Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills.

Offers beautiful view of islands. Nice at sunset. Parking area at side of the road. Caution: trail can get quite ticky.
