Shimla's oldest cafe. Whatever the food, a hot cup of steaming filter coffee is a must-have. The south-Indian snacks especially the Masala Dosa and the Sambhar Idli are delicious in Shimla's cool climate. A unique innovation of the place is its Mutton Dosa with a mix of minced mutton and onion masala stuffing, which tastes good with or without a serving of sambhar. The best part being it is not at all expensive.

An iconic coffee house chain in India. The menu is said to not have changed in fifty years. It serves South Indian food--dosas, vadas, sambhar--at ridiculously low prices. The drip coffee is also quite good, we’ve had quite a few!

There are 2 Coffee Houses in the area. You MUST go to the old one near the BSNL building on Mall Road. This place has its old world charm, cheese omlette, uttapam, mutton cutlet are my favourites and a must try!

Visit to have a Great Cup of Coffee. This place has a lot of History and it shows. You can choose from a range of food and sit for as long as you want and you can be sure that you will not be disturbed.
