The only path to the beach is through Saltwater State Park. It's a short 10 min walk from the main road many guests have walked there or you can drive down.

Hiking, beach (clam digging, shell collecting, swimming), creek, camping, skating, volleyball, picnic and barbeque areas, nice walking trail and playground

Saltwater State Park is the only park in Washington that has an underwater, artificial reef on Puget Sound. On the way to Tacoma, it's a great place to relax and take in the beauty of the Puget Sound. Great photography opportunities. Suitable for kids. A paved parking lot and the trails are not difficult.
