I mention Zephyr Cove Resort in this section as they offer quite a few recreational activities. There's volleyball, paddleboat rentals, paddle wheeler cruises (on the MS Dixie II), and horseback riding, just to name a few.

If you are looking for the “fun” beach atmosphere then head to Zephyr Cove – one of Lake Tahoe’s party beaches. This popular beach fills up fast in the summer months, attracting the younger crowds.

A favorite beach spot for the under 30 single crowd that pretty much has it all. All rentals, bar, volleyball, horseback riding, RV camper site, and a popular spot for boats to hop. This area tends to be more of a “party style” environment.
