11 mile drive - expect to spend 2 hours. So much natural wildlife. Tons of bird, gator, snakes. Once you start the drive, you are committed for the entire drive. Open on weekends. Bring your camera

If you want to see Florida alligators and tons of wildlife then make this drive. It is about a 10 mile loop on a dirt road, but you will see a lot of gators. Check the hours, I think it is only open Friday through Sunday.

A beautiful drive to see many many alligators and many species of birds. Especially in winter we have many types of migrating birds. There is a tower you can climb. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT WANDER NEAR THE WATER'S EDGE. It is stunning and very beautiful but alligators may look big and slow but they are extremely fast movers. WATCH CHILDREN!!

See 'Old Florida' Drive through the Apopka Lake preserve and view Gators, birdlife and more. Free admission : Bring binoculars (if you have them). Arrive early in morning to see the most wildlife activity.
