Our son Lennard loves a bike ride over to Wyken vineyard. Not only is there a farmer’s market every Saturday but it has a nice little shop, café and sheep as well as Alpacas and peacocks. Or explore the gardens around the vineyard.

The Leaping Hare restaurant is housed in a 400yr old barn on a 1200 acre farm. Serving a blend of modern and traditional European dishes in beautiful surrounds. Great for lunch or dinner and make time to explore their shop. 16 miles away. Tel: 01359 250287

Wyken Vineyards (or The Leaping Hare) is a small estate with a great home-wares shop and restaurant and gardens to walk in. It is situated north east of Bury St Edmunds.

We recommend combining breakfast or lunch at 'The Leaping Hare' with visiting it's country store on site at Wyken Vineyards. Everything is chosen with care, the book room has a considered selection of books from small specialist publishers. You will find design led pottery, Irish and Scottish woollens, log baskets, dog beds, timeless and chic clothes. Lots of beautiful and useful things and well worth a visit, especially combined with lunch!

Has a excellent farmers market, vineyard tours, garden walks, shopping and a lovely place to eat.
