A magnificent canopy road leads to the Civil War era fort for a great biking excursion or nature walk. History museum and Union Solder re-enacters. A fishing pier for anglers, secluded beaches.

Amelia Island is the home of the modern shrimping industry, and the Burbanks have been making nets for decades. Look for huge brick warehouse - the Burbanks are inside, making nets. They sell hammocks

This is must see for families or just those who would like catch a bit of history (hourly cannon firing on weekend) or even a great stroll on a fantastic beach and pier. The best sharks teeth hunting!

Great place to take kids for some history at the fort (which has re-enactors), a hike, camping, or fishing/walking on the public pier. Great place to bike around and have a picnic lunch.
