Always a popular hike, this is the go to when you're near hollywood as it's a moderately strenuous hike and has high potential to spot a celebrity.

Walk from the property to the most well known hiking/walking trail with views of all of Los Angeles from the mountain top. Recommended entrance at the base of the trail (Fuller ave entrance).

Right up the street from the building, is the famous Runyon Canyon. Great place for hiking and dog watching, but the highlight is definitely the views. On a clear day, you can see entire Los Angeles spread in front of you. From downtown to the beach. Great trails for running or hiking.

If you are staying in LA, and you just want a short scenic hike, I would recommend you to do the Runyon Canyon hike. The hike is of moderate difficulty, and once you get to the top, you can see the entire city of LA.

Scenic and famous Runyon Canyon Park. Go early AM to beat the heat and crowd, or early evening to watch the beautiful sunset over the city.

Los Angeles has a lot of wonderful hiking and running trails, the most famous being Runyon Canyon. There are some well-marked routes, including a 1.9-mile (3-kilometer) loop and a 2.6-mile (4-kilometer) loop (with higher elevation gain). There’s also a more strenuous 3.3-mile (5-kilometer) hike to the top of the park too. Caballero Canyon (3.4 miles), Fryman Canyon Park (2.5 miles), and Los Liones Trail (3.5 miles) are three other easy trails around the city you can hike too.
