The Hemmel Cafe is set in the beautiful North Pennines which is an area of outstanding natural beauty and possibly one of the last places to catch a glimpse of red squirrels. It is an excellent location for Tourists, Walkers, Cyclists & (weather permitting) Skiers. For cyclists, it is on the C2C; for skiers and snowboarders, it is less than a 200 metre walk to the Ski-Allenheads slope; for walkers, there are numerous local walks plus, only a few miles away, Isaacs Tea Trail.

Delicious home cooked food and cakes as well as hot and cold drinks. You might even see a red squirrel while enjoying your cuppa!

Local cafe in the village. I would recommend their Fish and Chip friday offer. The cafe also has wi-fi available.
