There is so much to see in Bridgnorth with lovely walks around the town and the castle walk. Have a trip up on the cliff railway from low town to high town and see the lovely buildings in the high-street including the old court house in the center of the street. There is a market on a Saturday and I post local events on our facebook page @Stone Cottage Shropshire The pubs and restaurants are plentiful however, my favorites are The stable Bar and kings Head in high town or the Flacon hotel in low town. Tea and Roses right in the middle of the high street is one of my favorite places to have a lovely brew and a big slice of cake!

Lots of fun travelling the shortest and perhaps steepest funicular railway in the world. Also some great icecream shops, pubs and restaurants in Bridgnorth, spectacular views, a castle and a picturesque river. Well worth a day out.

The small (return) ticket price is fully justified when you look back up to High Town when you arrive riverside! Great views of the Severn and a not-to-be-missed trip on a historic mode of transport

The picturesque town of Bridgnorth is a must visit The Bridgnorth Cliff Railway has been transporting the people of Bridgnorth up and down the 111 ft sandstone cliffs that separate High Town from Low Town for over a century. This is a unique experience for the kids- you could go down to low town and have fish and chips or an ice cream by the river - 22 minute drive
