The area along Natai Beach offers some lovely restaurants to try, both on and off the beach. 1. The EDGE Restaurant The EDGE offers Asian inspired contemporary food with a western twist or possible western style with an Asian twist. The amazing thing about this restaurant is that where possible all of the vegetables are from their own garden, and you can taste it. Lunch offers a selection of health snacks, salads and starters, to more substantial grilled items and even oven fired pizza (try the prosciutto pizza). Dinner is where the magic happens at the EDGE when the Michelin styled menu really provides an evening of textures and tastes. We shared the roasted rib eye and oh my, what an experience. Natai Restaurant The intimate stylish 'Natai' serves modern Thai cuisine, such as Papaya Salad, Thai Green Curry, Pad Thai and a range of locally caught seafood. Keep an eye out for their themed culinary evenings (Wednesdays) from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thai etc. Great value and a chance to try different cuisines across Asia. Co-Sea House Thai Food & Beverage Co-Sea Thai Food and Beverage is a modern, midrange restaurant located meters from the beach. Featuring a cosy open-sided dining pavilion, friendly service and genuine, inexpensive Thai food. Would highly recommend the following items, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, bakes mussels, fried beef the mango smoothie and don't forget the fried banana. Make sure you check out some of the best favourites on the menu, like Crab And Mango Salad which pairs creamy soft shell crab with green mango and signature dressing. Also recommended is Akrya Beach Club's Monster Burger, a pure Australian Wagyu beef patty crowned with cheddar cheese, fresh avocado, grilled onion and crispy pork. It's topped off with spicy and smooth chipotle mayo. For dessert, the Triple Chocolate is a winner. With three decadent types of chocolate in one incredible cake, the Triple Chocolate is a dessert lover's heaven! Fresh seafood, great portions and very reasonably priced. Recommend trying the curry crab, fried rice with crab, tum yum and the roti bread dessert. If you contact the restaurant ahead of time, they can usually arrange for collection from your resort. Be aware that being a family restaurant and reliant on fresh caught ingredients, they can and do run out of items during a busy evening. Try the fried fish with chilli sauce. Lemon sauce steamed fish, grilled squid and prawn cakes are recommended. Be aware that at the time of writing this is a cash only restaurant. Ruan Mai Kaen Restaurant Interesting interior hence also being known as "jungle restaurant" together with some game dishes. There is also an attached coffee shop and bakery. Fashi Cafe Coming back down route 402 this restaurant is reasonably priced, plenty of seating and parking. Be aware there is live music which can be loud (we think weekends) but was not playing when we visited. They have some lovely thai egg dishes, tom yam soup and deep fried crab with garlic to try if you have the chance.
