Moonridge is the premier neighborhood in Big Bear Lake. My chalet is in Lower Moonridge around the corner from Bear Mountain (skiing/snowboarding), the golf course, and the new zoo. We have a wonderful hiking trail right down the street from the cabin. Follow Villa Grove Ave down to Travertine Rd. The trail head is marked. It’s about a 1 mile round trip hike along the National Forest line.

Moonridge is located between the Lake and Bear Mountain Resort. It encompasses the Big Bear Golf Course, Moonridge Zoo, and start of many nice hikes.

There are many US Forest Service hiking trails in the area and each has a different level of difficulty from easy to difficult.
