A cozy, long-time neighborhood institution conveniently located across the street from the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Try the baklava if you're fortunate enough to snag seats (it's a favorite study spot for Columbia students) - if you're on the go, grab a coffee and a poppyseed Hamantaschen.

A historic coffee shot where many books and dissertations were written. Lovely intimate atmosphere compensates for the poor coffee quality..
