This is a must-see in Biarritz, in between "Port Vieux" and "Port des Pêcheurs. Half natural, it was built by Napoleon as a harbor refuge and a dam.

From Fisherman’s Wharf on the great bay, you can cross a bridge to the huge rock with a statue of the Virgin Mary. Be warned, you may have to fight the wind and spray of the Atlantic!
