This is the only WPA left in Memphis... It's something everyone should visit at least once. It's free and easy to get to near I-240/Poplar.

The depression era of the 1930s drove many men insane and one such man was artist Dionicio Rodriguez who transformed his pain and frustration into strange stone carvings and biblical figures inside a cave in the middle of a cemetery. If this wasn’t already psychedelic enough for the twisted artist, he added harp music inside the cave which only elevated the haunting experience of the visitor. Though, it was initially meant as a place of reflection and meditation but today, it’s known to give people nightmares and chills down their spine.

For some reason, everyone just loves visiting the Crystal Shrine Grotto in Memorial Park just a few miles from us. I'm not sure what it's all about since I've never been, but if you go, tell me all about it!
