Built in 1937, this public bathhouse isn't what you'd call stylish - there's a Statue of Liberty on the roof, mind you - but offers a wonderfully down-to-earth soaking experience. Note that in Kansai, 'onsen' refers to public baths in general, whether they use actual hot spring water or not.”
