South Downs Light Railway runs through the grounds of Pulborough Garden Centre and out into the country. Steam hauled trains run every weekend and Bank Holiday from March to September and also on Wednesdays in school holidays. Special events are held during the season and especially in December when Santa resides in his special grotto and steam trains run to North Pole Station to see him. Santa has a quality gift for every boy and girl and there's a seasonal drink for the adults. Each year the resident teddy bears with lots of their friends and relatives have a picnic. Children bringing their own teddies to join in the fun get a free train ride! (15 minute drive)

This fun, volunteer run railway is based in the Pulborough Garden Centre. Trains will take you on an exciting trip through the gardens from Stopham Road Station Trains run from March to September and are usually hauled by a real coal burning steam engine. It's great fun for adults and children alike. The railway started in 2000 and has carried many thousands of passengers on a journey of just under one mile. Always working to improve the railway, over the last few years they have built a new station and ticket office, tunnel, an engine shed and extended the carriage shed. Currently under construction is a purpose built water tower with coal bunker, and the re-installation of the turntable. 15 minutes drive from The Barn.
