If you have rented a car, drive towards and there will be a a stop over area where cars normally park to admire the beauty of the salty waters.

A lovely view driving along the motorway towards Santa Pola to see a huge amount of flamingoes and other birds. When the sun shines on the salt crystals the lakes take on a pink colour appearance.
