Great pub food. Generous portions and tasty. Good options for veggies and vegans as well as all meat lovers. Stocks local beers from Harvey's of Lewes and others on occasion such as Dark Star and Franklin's. Popular with locals. Has a large garden for summer drinking and eating too.

You can walk over the downs to this pub in Rodmell with beer garden, it takes about 1 hr 15 mins each way, 3.7 miles.
