Home to the "Million Dollar View" of the Catskill Mountain Range, this trailhead features more open views, meadows, and quiet forest paths. Fees: $15 for hikers, $20 for bikers/climbers/horses.

Enjoy the "Million Dollar View" of the Catskills – just a short walk from the Spring Farm parking area. Reminders of its earlier agricultural roots, the open fields and broad views at Spring Farm give way to quiet, forested paths. The parking lot fills up VERY quickly on weekends and holidays! …

Your stay at the Canal Cottage includes two all-access day passes to Mohonk Preserve, New York's largest nonprofit nature preserve. The Spring Farm Trailhead is 10 minutes away in High Falls. If you can't make it to the Preserve during your stay, the passes are good for a year.

The Bonticou scramble is very challenging for a hike. There is a small section of class 4 rock scrambling, but you can avoid it by walking around. The views from the top are incredible! Less than 3 miles round trip, so good for a quick jaunt.

“A gorgeous 5-mile path created by the Open Space Institute to connect the rail trail system to the Mohonk Preserve. Guests can come from New Paltz, or can park in one of the parking lots located on the path. ”
