A good day out from Durham city to the seaside. A 1950s-style ice cream parlour with excellent sundaes. Strawberry Blonde is my favourite.

Quite simply the best ice cream parlour in the North East. This area of Seaham also has great walks along the coastline, good on a sunny day.

A trip to the beach at Seaham (Vane Tempest beach, Blast beach are a couple that are nearby) is never complete without a visit to this amazing 190s ice-cream parlour, complete with jukebox.
