Fun hiking trail connecting downtown Ithaca to the Cornell campus. The trail is dog friendly but has lots of stairs.
Nestled between downtown Ithaca and Cornell's Collegetown, Cascadilla Gorge Trail is beautiful. There are a lot of steps so make sure you have proper footwear. Our favorite thing to do is start downtown and walk up to collegetown for something to eat or some coffee and then walk downhill afterwards.
Cascadilla Gorge Trail has two walk-in entrances, in the heart of the city or on Cornell’s campus. No designated parking areas. Beautiful and amazing to see, but not open year round.
Great to walk if you happen to be in town and want something quick and easy! This trail leads you from downtown up to the Cornell campus!
Hike up along multiple waterfalls to the top (Cornell university). Moderate skill level, many stairs. Breathtaking views and photo opportunities. near Ithica and Cayuga Lake

“Great place to relax and go for walks or view the beautiful plants, trees, and flowers that Cornell volunteers take care of throughout the warmer seasons of the year.”

“Wonderful art museum located on Cornell University's campus. Call to ensure they're open to public before heading down. ”

“Great bread and sandwiches and fun atmosphere. Tons of outdoor seating and a back patio were added during Covid. Not the best bagels or coffee, but we all love it! There is also one in Collegetown with a lot of outdoor seating. ”
