O tym miejscu
The Rendezvous has been serving ribs in a downtown Memphis alley since 1948. It has been owned and operated by the Vergos family for three generations. If you want to eat like a local Memphian, start with a pitcher of beer & cheese/sausage plate and soak in the atmosphere.

“A complex of museums and historic buildings, its exhibits trace the history of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States from the 17th century to the present. The museum is built around the former Lorraine Motel, where Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968. Two other buildings and their adjacent property, also connected with the King assassination, have been acquired as part of the museum complex.”

“The Majestic Grille has the best of both brunch worlds, with equal style and substance. Enjoy live music on the mezzanine of the 1920s Art Deco theatre while sipping a carafe of mimosas and noshing on veggie frittatas. Or saddle up to bar to watch football and tear into a rib eye Steak & Eggs served with potatoes, biscuits, and a Bloody Mary.”

“Stepping into The Arcade Restaurant feels like stepping back into Memphis’ glory days when Elvis reigned supreme. This 1950s-style diner actually dates back to 1919, making it Memphis’ oldest continuously operating restaurant. The space was redesigned in the ’50s by owner Speros Zepatos’ son Harry, and it hasn’t changed much since. Diners feast on greasy breakfasts and meat-and-three plates atop boomerang-style tables. Elvis was a fan of the Arcade, and his favorite booth is marked with a plaque. The restaurant is often used as a film location and has made appearance in Mystery Train, Great Balls of Fire!, The Client, The Firm, 21 Grams, Elizabethtown, Walk the Line, and My Blueberry Nights.”

“If you’re going to Beale, usually the cheapest parking is just above Flying Saucer for usually $1/hour unless there’s a special event. If you’re really looking for a night on Beale, this is a spot to start with a ton of beer and food and just a street over from the start of Beale.”
