FWD is an outdoor day and night club, and a pretty cool place to hang out and dance. There is a pool (extra charge) and cabanas for rent with bottle service. Some weekends they will bring in big name DJs; check their Facebook for events. On Friday and Saturday nights there is a cover and a line usually forms, so get there a bit early. Avoid if it is raining, the venue is entirely outdoors; but if the weather holds you get some beautiful views dancing right on the river. There is a dress code, check the website for details. Open until 7 PM Thurs/Sun and 2:30 AM Fri/Sat.

Walk out on the pier to get a good view of the lake. Walk on the beach or grill out at the park. During warmer months they have an open concession stand.

If you are a foodie staying at my place, the West Side Market is a must see! Over 100 vendors peddling their high quality and fresh meats, produce, bakery, desserts, and beverages at prices often much better than grocery stores (especially the veggies!) There are also ready-made food vendors and others that will heat up what you buy so that you can eat while you shop. It is all indoor, so it will be open rain or shine. Three minute drive or ten minute walk, although parking is a bit rough right now as they are doing construction on the lot. Hours: Mon/Wed 7 AM - 4 PM, Fri/Sat 7 AM - 6 PM, Sun 12 PM - 6 PM

There are also ready-made food vendors and others that will heat up what you buy so that you can eat while you shop. It is all indoor, so it will be open rain or shine.
