This is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Citta' Della Pieve. The cacio e pepe is a favourite of ours but you might want to share a portion. Also the tagliata is not to be missed. Reservation is advisable.

Places to visit

Città della Pieve is 15 - 20 minutes from Casa Mimosa and is a pretty medieval town with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. In August each year there is a week long completion (palio) between the 3 areas of the town with shows and activities for the whole week. There is usually some kind of event, market or show happening throughout the year.

In summer you can't beat a trip to Lake Bolsena, which is about an hour away. The water is warm, clean and beautiful to swim in. If you drive around the lake there are many areas to park and go for a dip and a little sunbath on the volcanic sand. The town of Bolsena is pretty and has lots of restaurants to suit everyone.

Orvieto is only a 30 minute drive away and has plenty of parking, you can either park for free at the bottom of the train station and take the funicular train to the top or drive up the hill and park in one of the paid car parks. The town is steeped in history and you can take an underground tour or go down the Pozzo di San Patrizzio, an incredible well close to the funicular railway. There are also plenty of shops, restaurant and coffee shops, my favourite place for a coffee is at the theater with it's beautiful frescoes on the ceiling.
