Fantastic location of the Natural Lacs de Haute Charante, beautiful sandy beaches, restaurant, picnic spots and safe swimming location. gets busy so go early or leave towards the end of the day to ensure you get a sandy beach spot. If you don't mind the crowds this is a fun place in the summer months. We went in October and restaurant was still open and beaches quiet, water was colder but still had an amazing relaxed afternoon.
