Wow. This park is a great place to get the iconic view of Calgary's skyline. I like to go up here to chill out and get some space without getting out of town. A photo op spot for tourists and Calgarians alike!

This modern, well-lit pathway is a gem. Great for walking, jogging and biking, you get a breath of fresh air while remaining in the heart of the city. This path will take you through several different areas in Calgary, and is awesome if you want a stroll and sight-see without much effort. Simply walk northbound down 11th Street, and you'll get there when you can't walk any further: the Bow River is stopping you!

This grocery store is very close to my place, only a 5 minute walk away. It has everything you need, from fine cheeses to pharmacy items. You can stock up on everything here. I would try to avoid the store between 3pm-6pm, it gets quite busy. The store opens at 7am and is open till 11pm, which I find very convenient!

Literally 30 seconds from my house. My boyfriend says that this is a decent place for shwarma! Best of all, they are open from 11am to 4 in the morning, everyday! If you need a quick when you arrive at my place, this is a great option.

Built in 1891 for James and Isabella Lougheed and their growing family, Lougheed House is now a National and Provincial Historic Site and Museum located on its original 2.8 acres in the Beltline of Calgary. In the summer, it has beautiful flower gardens. In the winter, there's a skating rink! You can enter the house for Adults$8.50, Seniors & Students$6.50, Child (Ages 6 – 12)$5.00. There's also a restaurant and a gift shop.

It's got a cool sculpture of a human head outside the building which is fantastic for photo-ops! Just make sure not to climb on it, or do it in a stealthy way, otherwise security will be all over you.

This mall, located in the heart of downtown and spanning multiple buildings by way of Calgary's unique +15 system, offers a good selection of high-end retailers. This is Holt Renfrew's only location. You can also find BCBG Maxaria, Michael Koors, Harry Rosen and Simon's. There are also multiple food courts and coffee shops. Underground parking available, or walk 25-30 minutes from my house.

Underground parking available, or walk 25-30 minutes from my house.

This is a ski and snowboard outfitter. My family has been shopping here since before I was born! This is where I get all my ski stuff, from skis and boots to snow pants and jackets. They also tune skis here, so if you bring your own you can book them in for a tune before you head off to the mountains.
