You will have to go through the gate, request the match club restaurant and they will let you through. Its a bar/restaurant right on the ocean front, overlooking the harbour and all the boats. The food is very simple but always good, it has lovely views and provides a safe space for the kids to play around in! Never had a bad time there!

Beautiful location with tons of coffee shops/restaurants to choose from that are right on the beach! Grab a cup of coffee, take a book and enjoy watching the ocean move and the surfers frolic in the water. Really relaxing and always a good time! Very popular during peak season but worth the trip

A Wonderful restaurant in Kalk Bay that sits right along the ocean and the harbour, overlooking the boats and fishing activities. During the day/early evening its a lovely place to grab a good bite to eat with the family and in the evenings the bar on the other side turns into a massive party. Its really good for going out. Its a beautiful cozy restaurant that never disappoints. Good food, good vibes and great views. If you are a foreigner, I wouldn't leave Cape Town before having a meal here. Its quite fancy, but well worth the price

Sometimes there is live music, there is Karaoke on Wednesdays (BEST TIME TO GO) and a general party every weekend. Best local bar with tons of friendly Capetownians. The later you stay, the better it gets - it turns from bar to a rocking party quite quickly.
There is also a restaurant attached to it if you walk a little further in that makes the most incredible pub like easy food. It is lovely for lunch and dinner that can turn into drinks. Lovely atmosphere, bustling with people, good food and it sit over the sea.

This is one of the best beaches close to Simonstown, its not very busy but always beautiful! Would definitely suggest it to anyone interested in a day at the beach.

Best bar in town, made out of beach sand and running along the train tracks and coastline in Kalk bay, its perfect for a night out with friends. Good food, good drinks, good views, good music and in the winter they bring out bonfires. Always a good time to be had here.
There is also a cuban restaurant inside. Its sits right along the coastline, directly over looking the railway, ocean and harbour. The food is excellent, the decor eccentric and the service great. You can purchase any item you see in the store, from the chairs and tables you eat on to the murals and art found on the walls. Very Cuban, Very Cape Town, Very Good

Looking to drive around the parks in South Africa or go for a hike? This is the best place to go closest to Simonstown. Its a very interesting place to visit as it is the southern most point in Africa and is the place where the Indian and Pacific ocean meet. There is a restaurant right at the tip that overlooks the mountain scape. The best place to visit here are the Venus Pools - natural rock pools. The drive to Cape Point from Simonstown is also absolutely gorgeous.

After that, you should take the forrest walk way all the way to the other private beach - Boulders Beach (entrance fee) for a really good day at the beach. Many penguins swim up to boulders beach, so you could be swimming with these friendly little guys while you enjoy your day out.
