This is a small, typically Flemish bar, with all of its interior made of wood. They have live music every wednesday (mostly Blues).

If you want to have a drink but don't know what kind of place you're looking for, go to Saint-Géry. There you'll find about 20 bars in a 50m radius, one of which is bound to be just right for you.
(Also a good place to start bar-hopping ;) )

If you want the true Brussels experience, go buy a few beers in a night shop nearby and go drink them while sitting on the floor on the Grand Place. Add some fries to the mix and you're an honorary Belgian.
The Grand Place is a beautiful place at night, with all the façades lit up. So why not enjoy it with a drink in your hand!

Entering this bar is like falling into a black hole and finding yourself in another dimension. They only play classic French music (Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, ...), and the place is crammed full of old furniture, books and paintings.

This is the biggest park in Brussels, great to go for a run or a picnic when the weather allows it. There is also a restaurant in the middle of the lake (Le Chalet Robinson), which you can access with a little ferry, and where you can also rent rowboats.

The MIM is my favourite museum in Brussels. The exhibit is very well rounded, and the collection is quite amazing. The building itself is also quite interesting, and you can have lunch there.

The Royal Library is a quite impressive place, so it's worth it to go if only to admire the inside of the building. But the thing is, it also has a little cafeteria on the 5th floor, which has a very nice terrace. So if you want to enjoy a nice view of the surrounding area, be sure to stop by.

When you're done shopping, stop at one of the more traditional looking bars around to have a soup - it's a tradition in the neighbourhood.
