Contrary to what other people believe, the original and authentic nasi lemak was started by Wanjor in Kg. Baru. They're open everyday now but close between 2pm to 4:30pm. Ask for the nasi lemak with either lauk sotong or paru (lungs). If you're there on weekends, better be early (7.30am) as the lines can be very long.

I think it tastes better than in Padang itself!
Try the kuah kuning, ayam berlado and catfish in hot chili; of course with hot white rice and teh-o ice limau! (aka Ice Lemon Tea)!
