Another great restaurant and shopping district. I love to eat at Tacubaya, the Pasta Shop (daytime), or Cafe Rouge. Really, all the restaurants are great, there. Plus, it's my favorite shopping!

My place is a 5 minute drive to Oakland Kaiser. If you're visiting a loved-one in the Hospital, stay in a serene and close-by suite, instead of that expensive, stodgy hotel!

A 7 minute BART ride from my West Oakland Station, the marketplace is wonderful. On Saturdays, it's a not-to-be-missed treat of wonderful farmers' market heaven! Great shops inside the Ferry Building!

Sightseeing
My favorite hiking and THE best view of the bay/SF in the entire area (as reward for a steep, short climb). Trail-head is a 10 min drive from my house (Hwy 24 to Claremont Ave. Then park on Stonewall.

A wonderful bike, skate, and walk path guides you all the way from Emeryville (near Powell St, along the East side of the Bay) to this marina. Parks, picnic stops, and bay scenery abound all the way!
