We like to enjoy a glass of cava in the bar here. The restaurant is very popular, not one of our favourites but you don't have to take our word for it.

Parks & Nature
Backing on to a nature reserve, the beach has no building development, only camp sites which are set well away. In the summer, wooden bars (xiringuitas) pop up, serving drinks and food. There is a safe swimming area with a lifeguard.

You can't entirely miss the Aiguamolls nature park; Empuriabrava is surrounded by it. But to see spectacular species including nesting cranes, head for the Centre del Cortalet.

You can't go to Cadaques without feeling the influence of Salvador Dali. This was where he lived, and it is well worth a visit. Access is limited so you will need to reserve a spot in one of the regular guided tours.
