This is an ancient fish pond from the 1700's. There is a break wall that stops the waves so it is a fantastic place for small children to swim. It's always loaded with fish so snorkeling in this area is guaranteed fun!

The Kamaole Beaches are World famous and a must see while in Kihei. There are lifeguard towers at several of them. Also, public bathrooms and showers. Greta place for snorkeling.

Ulua has 2 separate reefs; an inner reef and then an outer reef that you can swim out to. The inner reef starts right at the shoreline. The outer reef is quite a swim out to but large and so much life in the rocks to look at!

Kalama Park has a soccer/baseball field, tennis courts, basketball court, playground AND....a skaterink! This skating rink is nothing like back home- every inch of it has an ocean view!!! There are skate rentals there on nights that it is open to the public.

Want to see the dolphins? They like to come in here in the early morning time! You drive through old lava flow to the end of the South Shore. There are hiking trails that could keep you occupied all day, taking you to several private beches while you hike along side thousands of roaming goats (yes, I said GOATS!).
