Always rated the top independent bookstore in the United States, one step inside and you'll understand why. It's easy to get lost in the number of books. They have a kids store at Square Books Jr and additional space at Off Square Books. A real treat for the whole family!

My Favorite Restaurants
These are a few of my favorite places to dine around town.
My favorite is the rigatoni and their homemade bread "wild style". The owners are absolutely amazing. If you make reservations ahead of time you can even schedule a chef's tasting. A true treat for any occasion! No excuse needed for a night at Tarasque. It is also available for delivery on Landshark Delivery if you feel like having a lazy night in!

My personal favorite is the veggie plate - mac and cheese, fried okra, and butter beans. Also the country fried steak is pretty amazing. Ajax is perfect for a big lunch followed by a nap!

We love the turkey and cheddar croissants as well as the massive cinnamon roll large enough for the entire family. Go early because the lines form fast!

If you are up for a little cooking or want some pre-prepared food, I highly suggest Chicory Market. It is a farmer market store but so much more. They spicy feta dip is amazing. A few topo chicos and the chorizo from homeplace pastures makes the very best taco night. They usually have the smokeshop out front smoking brisket and other barbecue. It is really a one-stop shop.

A few topo chicos and the chorizo from homeplace pastures makes the very best taco night. They usually have the smokeshop out front smoking brisket and other barbecue. It is really a one-stop shop.

It is right on your way if you are headed towards Memphis on I-55. All of their pizzas are amazing, but we especially love the en salata pizza. It's BYOB so pack a small cooler and enjoy an amazing meal. It is perfect for lunch or dinner. Check the calendar before hand on their website to make sure they are open if you are traveling during the week.

Our favorites: farinata, white beans (even if they aren't on the menu.. they are ON the menu), burrata and soppressata pizza. They recently opened up a lounge just down the street if you are up for a few cocktails before dinner or just want a casual spot to relax with friends.
