Imhoff Farm is a 5 minute drive and is the perfect place for families. Three restaurants, including Blue Water Café which has an enclosed play area and superb views. Great coffee, ice cream, quirky shops, a Petting Zoo and more!

Great local restaurant, walking distance from the house. Geared for adults and older kids, very chilled vibe. Check out the owner Pauls' craft beer selection - I recommend the White Rabbit.

This restaurant has been a Kommetjie institution forever. Large outside dinning area, simple pub grub, kids play area. Its a gentle stroll from the house.

Ok, so this is a 40 min drive but if you want amazing food, fresh produce and enjoy a trendy, beautiful market this is worth the drive. I suggest get there for 9-10am as it gets busy. At weekends only 8.30-2pm

Parks & Nature
If the the sun is out grab a picnic and head to Buffels Bay - great swimming beach with grassy picninc/Braai area. Great walking and sightseeing. Be aware that there is entrance fees.

What more can I say, go see the Table! There are many great walks on the mountain, just make sure you google it first, so you know where you are going, some walks are strenuous, and its a big mountain!

There are several hikes/walks around the Silvermine area of Table mountain. Our favourite with young kids starts at the Sunbird centre (Slivermine sunbird walk) or around the Dam it self.

Entertainment & Activities
Kommetjie is the epicenter of Cape Town’s surf scene. Consistantly providing ideal conditions for beginner to pro surfers, boogie boarders and kite surfers. If water adventures are not for you, then there are loads of rock pools to explore and the almost 100-year old Slangkop Lighthouse which must be visited if you’re in the area. It’s our tallest lighthouse made of cast iron and is a beloved icon.
