Very local alternative / hipster spot. Multiple markets within one venue. High end food with prices to match but in very casual / informal setting. This is the "little sister" more casual version of the restaurant of Gjelina, which is one of the hottest restaurants in LA. Very close to the Airbnb.

It's hard to get more authentically local than Flake. In an area which is gentrifying into the most expensive area of LA, Flake is one of the last of the "old Venice" spots. The prices are some of the most reasonable in the area. All the food is simple, but there's a little extra something to each item that make it a standout place. Try the Rad Muffin with ham for breakfast. They're also famous for their delicious Acai berry bowls.

The best local vegan restaurant. Very good food, even for those not vegan but want to try what life is like for those non meat product folks. Very strong yogic vibe served with a side of good karma. This restaurant represents a lot of what Venice is all about! Namaste.

Casual dining on the beach with live acoustic music on Thursday nights. The burger menu here is exotic. They have the typical beef burger, but also elk, bison, duck and other alternative meats. My favorite is the Blue Burger, check it out of find your own favorite.
