I had dinner here once and it was lovely. It is a classy restaurant, and it is just around the corner of where I live so very easy to get to (and to come home from after a bottle of wine!)

Lots of shops, café's, bakeries, etc. There is an Albert Heyn grocery store, and the famous Dutch HEMA too. If you cross the Maliebaan this street extends into another nice shopping street.

This is an up and coming road with a lot of nice café's, restaurants and a supermarket (probably the nearest from my house) called Jumbo. There is an organic supermarket and butchery too.

Exploring the canals in a kayak is a great way to see the old city centre from another angle. If you're keen, you can kayak all the way to my appartment.

This is a place where you can rent bikes. I have been recommending this place to guests but I haven't heard back from them yet if it is any good.

My favourite restaurant. The food is beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely. In summer you can eat al fresco here. And it's just around the corner. Good for coffee and a croque monsieur too :-)
