Food Scene
Very close location to the house and has great breakfasts! Big enough for two ladies to share for sure. They do mostly breakfast/lunch and some dinner Friday and Saturday. I have loved everything I have ordered there and they do an excellent job at presentation. It is pretty popular so make sure if it is a weekend day that you go at an off time.

A must for Oregon Coast seafood- I recommend the large halibut meal with an additional piece of fish for $1. It is great for two people and way more reasonable They also have crab there, I like the already cracked meat with butter if this is your thing.

Only outdoor beach side seating that I know of. The prices are a little higher, but worth it on a nice day.

My new favorite place! They have great healthy choices among all the normal beach fare. I like to ride the bikes there and get carryout. The inside is small, but cute.

I would say this is a step up from Pizza Hut, but not as good as Angelina's plus it is Take 'n Bake so you will need to pick it up and wait for it.

On your way there you will wonder, what kind of wacky place is this, but then you step in the door and totally forget the creepiness of the place. You get a piece of taffy for just being on the street and just spinning the wheel. They have tons of candy in the place and all kinds of flavored taffy. They also have the best ice cream selection and crazy value. You will likely pay the same for your whole family at Seaside Candyman for what it cost for one ice cream at the Dryer’s place or Zinger’s. It is a pretty fun experience and I would recommend it. I try to get my kids to spend their money there instead of going to the arcade since you spend $20 and get like 5 tootsie rolls.

This place is right on the river and sitting outside is pretty cool. My husband loves it for the beer and I love it for the views. The kids love it for the root beer floats!

Their pizza and salads are really good. They are more expensive than Pizza Hut or Fultanos, but it is worth it. They deliver.

They also have Goonies themed merch and even a cut out where you can take pictures with Sloth and Chunk. The place to go if you are a Goonies fan for sure!

Parks & Nature
Not many parks are the sheer size of this one and have so much to offer. They have an ocean beach and a lake beach. They also have the ruins of a shipwreck that you can check out on the ocean side and a barracks since it was a location that had folks stationed in case of attack. There are also numerous bike trails throughout the park. This place is pretty amazing and special.

I am addicted to Costco and this one does not disappoint. It tends to be less crowded than most in my opinion. Great place to go for any souvenirs and anything you forgot for a super reasonable price.

They carry a bunch of local previously used merchandise from shops in the area. Good place to pick up a local surf shop sweatshirt for a fraction of the price. Good for souvenirs too!

Sightseeing
This place is just lovely and is mostly super crowded on the weekends. There is no main shopping there so make sure you get all your goodies at Safeway before you head out. The beach is beautiful and amazing. Haystack rock!!!

Love it!! There is so much going on in this town. The deal is that there is not a beach per se, but there is a marina and dock. This is where the sea lions come to play. It is fun to watch them. My favorite cheap treat is to go grab something at the Safeway in Astoria which is by the way one of the best places to park and walk down their walkway by the water. You can pass by the dock and see the sea lions if they are out and also see what kind of loot the fishermen are hauling in.

Cool lighthouse with amazing views 360 views at the top. Not for those who don't like heights. The stairs are a trip.
