An hour and a half drive from the cottage, Buena Vista is a fantastic day trip paired with a beautiful drive through the Rocky Mountains. BV is famous for its river rafting and Mt Princeton Hot Springs, with numerous places to hike in the surrounding Collegiate Peaks.

Breckenridge, CO
About a two hour drive from the cottage, Breckenridge is a classic Colorado mountain town. Several ski resorts are close to the town for winter recreation, but Breckenridge is also fantastic in summer months for sightseeing and hiking. If you're up for hiking a 14er, Quandary Peak is perfect for the adventurous hiker.
