Asian fusion restaurant serving superb sushi and Chinese food. Great value for money and the food is excellent.
Platja d’aro is a bustling town (more more touristy than Calella) but if you want a different vibe for the evening it’s fun, has some great food and shopping. It’s about a 20 min drive from our house.

OMG. This is quite a spectacular little sushi joint. You’d never know from the outside note the location. But if you are after non pretentious, stunning food at a freest price this is for you. I s been to my fair share of sushi restaurants throughout my life and this little place is to die for. We’ve brought several friends here, all of whom have had the same reaction…. “Best sushi ever!” It’s no wonder this has a well deserved 4.8 rating online.
Please order the salmon nigiri with homemade wasabi, or with white truffle or with Teriyaki. The chef recommends with no sushi or ginger because it’s seasoned so perfectly (and it really is). Please go here!

This is a stunning Roman village with cobblestone streets and unique shops. Well worth a visit. If you are there during August be sure to visit the White Summer festival - a festival of food, music and fun stuff.

Every Spanish village has a town centre. Palafrugell old town is lovely and worth a walk around. There is a nice Churro place in the main square and also a good market daily. Some good restaurants around too.

If you are here from July to September it’s incredibly hot. You won’t need a jacket and will barely need a thin sweater in the evenings.

You won’t find many fast food restaurants in Calella, but Spain is generally known for rotisserie chickens! It’s a quick way to have a great tasting meal that doesn’t cost the earth. There are two great ones in Calella - one is at Hotel Alga near the beach, the other is in Palafrugell town next to Carrefour and Lidl at the main roundabout
