Go see the bog men in this free museum. The rest of the museum is interesting, and the gold collection is impressive. The bog men are unique to Ireland and a few other places in the world and provide a fascinating insight to ancient Ireland.

Food scene
We love going here for the large selection of tarts and cakes. We love the chocolate and caramel marscapone cake and their tarts are deep filled and delicious. If you want a proper Italian hot chocolate they serve it with a spoon.

Ireland is famous for its cheese, and in Sheridan's you can find and taste a big selection of it. You'll also find a dreamy selection of international cheeses here as well, some that they may only get in once a year.

Outdoor adventuring
Take the dart north to Howth to see Dublin bay and get a sense of the size of the city. The walk can go anywhere from a half hour ramble to the top of the hill and back down again or you can go for a 2 hour trek all the way around the edge of the cliff and back down into the town. The majority of the restaurants in Howth are seafood and pub fair for when you make it back. If you want to brave the Irish sea there's a lovely little swim spot, but beware it's stoney underfoot, which really just gets you in quicker.

You can swim out at Vico baths, my favourite spot in all of Dublin and head back to the village for fish and chips and a Guinness or something fancier in the many restaurants. If you want a slightly less wet activity take a kayaking tour to Dalkey island where you'll see a colony of seals, see terns, gulls, cormorants, jellyfish, and meet the island's rabbits and goats. Looking back at the mainland you'll be stunned by the number of castles on the coast each with their private docks.
